Series 1000 Air-Foil Control Damper:

  • Modulating, or 2 position control dampers.

  • Where maintenance is an issue.

  • Ideal and reasonably priced choice for replacing worn out common dampers.

ET - Elevated Temperature Option:

  • Suitable for high heat environments where temperatures may reach as high as 300°F (149°C),and where UL regulated control dampers are not a requirement.

  • For use in back-up generator stations, where excessive heat may be an issue.

  • For test laboratory applications, wherever high-heat conditions may exist.

  • A practical solution in mildly acidic applications, where Celcon bearings may not withstand environmental conditions.(See Options for more details.)

MR - Moisture Resistance Option:

  • Suitable for applications where dampers are exposed to extended periods of high humidity or high moisture, such as water treatment facilities, municipal pools, and greenhouses.

  • Cost effective alternative to the Salt Water Resistance Option for applications where salt spray is not a concern. (See Options for more details.)

SW - Salt Water Resistance Option:

  • Ideally suited for coastal climates.

  • Recommended for inland applications, where tire spray from winter-salted roads have been known to corrode dampers installed in close proximity to roads or highways.

Series 1500 Ultra-Low Leakage, Enhanced Air-Foil Control Damper:

  • When the damper is closed and a low air leakage rate is critical.

  • Where infiltration is a concern.

  • Where condensation and freeze up are not a concern, but where an energy efficient, low infiltration, maintenance-free damper is essential.

  • Ideal specification choice for outside wall dampers intended for use in warmer climates, where energy efficient, non-insulated dampers are required.

ET - Elevated Temperature Option:

  • Suitable for high heat environments where temperatures may reach as high as 300°F (149°C),and where UL regulated control dampers are not a requirement.

  • For use in back-up generator stations, where excessive heat may be an issue.

Multizone Dampers
  • Decks are connected using 7/16" (11.11 mm) extruded aluminum hex rods. The hex rods are stamped into the blade of one deck and U-bolted into the corresponding blade of the opposite deck.

  • Connections between decks will not develop any wear or play.

  • There are no internal mechanisms that can loosen, fail, or be omitted.

  • Transmission of torque, or stroke is direct and without losses.

  • Blades are specifically designed to maintain 90º operation between decks.

  • Internal zone dividers are designed to accept duct connections.

Smoke Dampers

Series 1000 SM UL/ULC Approved Two-Position Smoke Damper

  • TAMCO Series 1000 SM Two-Positon Smoke Dampers are UL/ULC approved for use in passive systems, smoke control systems, and smoke management systems.

  • These smoke dampers are designed for use in two-positon applications, where variable volume control is not required.

  • Smoke dampers are intended for installation in ducts and air transfer openings that are designed to resist the passage of air and smoke.

  • Smoke dampers may be required where ducts penetrate through smoke barriers, or at other locations within an engineered smoke control system.

  • They are installed to operate automatically, controlled by a smoke detection system, and where required, capable of being opened or closed from a remote command station.
